Ode to The Ladybug

The ladybug
of cherry disposition
soft
under formal garb, lives
in a globular
mobile home
she travels
light.
On her back
devilish black blemishes
majestic ruby
combine wing on wing,
the lady
with her white face
relaxes
under sunbeams.
Folding and unfolding
gliders under the hood –
take hold
and she floats
upon the air.
The majestic angel
crashes on the earth;
a butterfly
trips on the ground;
but the ladybug
delicately
touches down,
primed
for a walk-about
at a brisk pace
into a tangle
of curls.
Descending
from the top
she stops
on my third eye
send electric shocks
elevating
feeling:
she is just passing by.
“Buena suerte”
usually –
folklore
tells of her good value,
black fly
in his black-shrouds,
only enters those
wide-open mouths
rotting, festering,
and nostrils,
but she enters open hearts.
